The revised OPEP guidelines were released last month calling for greater stringency in the planning of emergency responses. DECC will be assessing the effectiveness of all operators’ spill response plans in light of the significant revisions, which will call for operators to reevaluate their existing plans in order to ensure they are compliant with the revised guidelines.

Briggs Environmental Services have once again successfully completed the annual Clearwater Forth Oil Spill Emergency Response simulation, which took place on 16th September 2014 at Cramond.
