Briggs Marine's newest addition to its fleet is the Damen 2712 Multicat “Forth Warrior”, due for delivery in June of this year. This vessel is to be outfitted to a very high standard, with a specification to include; dynamic positioning (DP1) and a modular four-point winch mooring system with remote control.

Due to an increase in demand for diving services, Briggs Marine Contractors has identified a need to add to its current dive spread. Dutch company, Pommec BV has been awarded the build contract for an additional stand-alone dive-control with attached air supply and compressor, a safe, simple ‘Plug and Play’ system that can be used aboard a vessel or along the quayside.
DONG Energy has awarded an eight year framework agreement to the Fife-based Briggs Group for the contingency and repair of export and array cables for offshore wind farms throughout the UK and Northern Europe.

Briggs Environmental Services are pleased to announce that they have recently joined the International Spill Accreditation Association (ISAA). The company are now members of their accredited Spill Response Organisations (SROs) throughout Northern and the Republic of Ireland.
The revised OPEP guidelines were released last month calling for greater stringency in the planning of emergency responses. DECC will be assessing the effectiveness of all operators’ spill response plans in light of the significant revisions, which will call for operators to reevaluate their existing plans in order to ensure they are compliant with the revised guidelines.
