Triple Accreditation for Briggs

Briggs has always taken the quality of the service provided to its customers very seriously and gained certification to ISO 9001 in May of 2002. In November 2006 it was decided to attain certification to the Environmental Compliance Standard ISO 14001 and the Safety Management Standard OHSAS 18001. New staff was recruited including Phil Richards our SEQ Manager, to design and implement the new systems to meet these Standards.

Briggs Marine Salvage Recovers Super Puma

On Thursday 19th February Briggs Marine Salvage services responded to a recovery request of a ditched helicopter in the North Sea. The Forth Hunter was mobilised to conduct the recovery. The EC225 Super Puma, operated by Bond helicopters for BP, was engaged on a routine flight between Aberdeen and the ETAP oil platform, 150 miles East of Aberdeen, when she ditched 500 meters short of the oil rig.

Aquila Recovered by Briggs Salvage Team

On the 10 September 2009, Briggs Marine received written instruction from the insurance company to recover the sunken Scallop trawler Aquila. Aquila sunk in July from a tragic incident off the North West coast of Scotland, between Ardnamurchan and Eigg; killing three of her four crew members.
