Briggs awarded £8m BP Fuels & Logistics contract
Briggs Group – the UK based marine contracting and environmental services company – has been awarded a major £8 million contract from BP’s UK Logistics to provide Terminal Operation Services at eight fuel terminals.
The three-year contract, which started in January 2010, covers sites at Belfast, Grangemouth, Hamble, Hemel Hempstead, Isle of Grain, Kingsbury, Northampton, and Walton.
During the contract period, Briggs will provide a consolidated site specific product movement package dedicated to ensuring that cargoes are safely handled at all stages of the process from arrival to departure. Briggs’ skilled personnel will work closely with terminal managers to ensure that all products are transferred as efficiently as possible.
Group Managing Director, Collieson Briggs said:
“This is a major step forward in building on the capability of our existing Oil and Gas Terminal Operations, and will provide a solid platform for future growth into the wider product movement market.
"We are delighted that this agreement will enable us to provide support to the operational efficiency of BP Oil UK Ltd for the next three years.”
