Sun Shines on Annual Charity Trip

Tower Bridge & Woolwich Ferry

On Saturday 2nd July the Woolwich Ferry set sail up the River Thames with hundreds of young people, their parents and carers for a fun day out in the sunshine passing through Tower Bridge, which opened especially for the event.

The children were invited from various charities and hospices from all over London and were welcomed on board to sing and dance the day away whilst taking in the City’s iconic landmarks.

Briggs Marine takes pride in supporting local communities in their charitable endeavours and in addition to their day-to-day jobs, Briggs employees help to organise and deliver the event in their spare time.

Marine Services Director at Briggs, Iain Ross, commented: "Briggs is delighted to be part of this event.   It’s a great day out and extremely satisfying to see the children, their parents and carers enjoying themselves.  The team down at Woolwich do a fantastic job organising and delivering the trip in their own time and we know that our guests greatly appreciate it.  Our Clients, TfL and London River Services, are very supportive and we hope the trip can continue for some time."
