BEIS Level 1 onscene responder

This 4 hour course provides delegates with detailed skills and knowledge ensuring they are capable of responding effectively and safely to an oil pollution incident offshore.

This course ensures delegates are aware of their key roles and responsibilities in dealing with the risk of oil pollution offshore and responding accordingly.

The syllabus focuses on:

  • Assessing the situation
  • Evaluating the spill
  • Understanding the consequences
  • Activating Contingency Plans
  • Reporting the spill

Inland basic spill responder course

Anyone that might have to tackle a minor or chemical spill at their place of work would benefit from this course.

  • Identifying the substance
  • Selecting the correct PPE
  • Safely responding to spills using their own response equipment

Offshore basic spill responder course

Offshore personnel and anyone that might have to tackle a minor oil or chemical spill offshore would benefit from this course.
