5 Tonne Thompson Winch

 

The Thomson winch is driven by a diesel engine, which drives a barrel end.

The unit can be used for cable recovery and for rotating cable drums using an endless rope drive, running from the winch to a drive band on the drum. Due to the portability of the unit it is suitable for pulling shore ends of cable.
