Caterpillar Cable Hauler

 

Small lightweight caterpillar tracked cable hauler, complete with integral electro/hydraulic power pack. It can be used to haul cable for loading onto a vessel and recovery of cable from the seabed.

 

The unit comprises an electric motor driving a variable displacement hydraulic pump to drive the twin block type caterpillar belts.

 

A water cooler is provided in the hydraulic circuit to stop the system overheating.

 

The squeeze load between the belts onto the cable is maintained utilising hydraulic cylinders.

 

All controls are mounted on the face of the unit.

Separate electrical and water supplies are required to operate the unit.
