The Moray Firth coastline in the north east of Scotland runs for over 200 miles from Rattray Head in the south to Duncansby Head in the north and is unique in its diversity.

With the aim of protecting the Moray Firth coastline, Briggs Environmental Services (BES) are developing a Shoreline Protection Strategy Plan on behalf of six operators, namely, BG Group, Chevron, Ithaca Energy, Petro-Canada, Nexen and Talisman. The plan will provide a comprehensive record of the coastline and its vulnerable areas and set out an effective response strategy, on a site-by-site basis, for potential oil pollution incidents.

The consultation period is open to all statutory and non-statutory consultees with a vested interest in the natural and socio-economic environments of the Moray Firth. Access permissions and login information can be obtained by contacting morayfirthspsp@briggsenvironmental.com
