Assistant Tender Manager

The Role

We have an exciting new position for an experienced individual to join the bid/tender team. The position will require production of high-quality written work to support bids for marine opportunities. There will be a requirement to work to tight deadlines and liaise with senior staff across the business.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Maintain an awareness of existing and developing markets for tender opportunities for all departments
  • Manage enquiries database and disseminate appropriately across the business.
  • Comply with and promote the company bid strategy
  • Manage the bid ‘process’ in terms of arranging content and meeting deadlines
  • Compile bids, liaising with technical experts for relevant input
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of bids
  • Create and facilitate post-tender discussions/meetings
  • Coordinate clarification responses and meetings
  • Identify new business opportunities through management of procurement portals
  • Maintain tender related documentation and ensure admin tasks are completed
  • Maintain annual update of supplier platforms and accreditations
  • Ensure company presence on supply chain registers for existing and future clients
  • Oversee management of tender related material, copy, information etc.
  • Operate effectively as a team member.

The Candidate

Supporting the Tender Manager you will be confident in your own ability to hit the ground running in a busy environment, excellent written communication skills are essential as well as good time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects to successful outcomes.
