The Role
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Field Service Marine Engineer/Mate. The main purpose of the role will be to plan, implement and oversee maintenance and repairs of vessels owned and operated by Briggs Marine and our clients at various locations around the UK.
Principal Responsibilities
- Service and repair vessel machinery, generally (but not limited to) propulsion engines, stern drives, generators, hydraulic systems and deck equipment
- Fault find and troubleshoot as required
- Provide relief cover as Mate/Deck Hand on company vessels as and when required
- Accurate and timely reporting of all work carried out which will include completion of service reports at the end of each job
- Carry out internal audits and inspections of vessels, ensuring that comprehensive records are maintained
- Oversee the attendance of subcontractors to vessels
- Attend vessel out of water inspection as and when required
- Ensure company policies, procedures and RAMS are adhered to at all times
