Group Training and Competency Manager

Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be in commutable distance to one of our main offices based in Burntisland, Fife or Liverpool

The Role

We currently have an opportunity to become part of our HSEQ team as a Group Training and Competency Manager.

You will be responsible for the development of on-line training programmes, and sourcing competent external training providers ensuring that we continue to meet our essential training needs for each role in the business.  Development and delivery of KPIs for each part of our business is also a key responsibility which will include the up-skilling and coaching of our managers so they can deliver that specific training.

To be effective in this role; you will need excellent communication skills, previous experience of building and delivering training programmes, knowledge of accreditation standards and willingness to travel.  Experience in the marine industry is not essential however would be advantageous.

Must Haves

  • Detailed knowledge of HSE training compliance requirements
  • Proven experience in management and development of e-learning programmes
  • Be proactive with excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills that enable you to comfortably work across all levels within the business, whilst having the confidence to challenge the norm and think creatively.
  • Be self-motivated, commercially astute and have strong problem-solving skills.
  • Be comfortable working to deadlines, being able to change priorities whilst managing own time effectively
  • Willing to travel when required
