Rigger – Subsea Cables Division


Location – Burntisland (with regular travel)


An opportunity currently exists to join Briggs and this expanding team, an established company specialising in the supply of Marine and Environmental services.

Reporting into the Subsea Cable Superintendent the Rigger will provide support to the subsea cables division conducting subsea cable installations, remedial work and repair operations.

Principal Responsibilities Include;

  • Operating various types of plant and equipment including all terrain telehandler, counterbalance forklift and mobile cranes
  • Providing rigging support to the cable superintendent
  • Maintaining, servicing and cleaning all plant and equipment
  • Interacting and providing support to contractors and divers on subsea cables project
  • Supporting other parts of the business as required

Your technical profile will reflect the following skill set:

Essential Skillset;

  • Previous technical and practical hands on experience in similar role
  • Rigger / Slinger OPITO certification
  • Full clean UK Manual Drivers Licence

Desirable Skillset;

  • GWO certification
  • MEWP
  • Telehandler
  • Counterbalance Forklift
  • Mobile Crane
  • RYA level 2 Powerboat certificate or equivalent
  • Electrical or Mechanical experience
