Over the summer months Briggs Environmental Services have been conducting practical exercises simulating spills on inland waterways.

These exercises are invaluable in terms of keeping our senior response team members up to date with strategies and implementing them in a natural environment. With new personal joining our expanding team these practical exercises are also crucial to the training and development of new response team members.

Every year we identify new sites that will expose our emergency responders to a variety of conditions and environments. This equips our personnel to overcome any challenges they may encounter whilst responding to a spill and ensuring minimal impact to our ecosystem.
