Buoy Maintenance
With existing contracts for buoy maintenance with some of the largest Port Authorities in the UK, Briggs Marine are ideally placed to ensure your aids to navigation are fully maintained to meet legal standards.
Our team undertakes the full refurbishment of around 220 buoys per year covering the blasting and painting, steelwork repairs, pressure testing and electrical and lighting work. Once refurbishment is complete, buoys will be in operation for a minimum of five years. The team also deals with any relights due to damage from contact with vessels or lighting faults.
Our broad experience means we can we can advise on when your buoys need maintenance, co-ordinate the process for you and if needed advise on the placement of new buoys.
We can provide complete management of the maintenance and provision of your aids to navigation, including statutory availability reporting and analysis, helping you to ensure that you remain in full compliance with IALA Standards and Port Marine Safety Code whilst freeing up time to focus on core activities
