Apprenticeships
Briggs Marine offers apprenticeships in skills based roles such as Welding, Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering enabling those between 16-19 years of age, to combine a qualification with on-the-job experience.
In Scotland, the 4 year apprenticeship requires the majority of the first year to be based at college with a greater focus on work-based learning in the remaining years.
Whist the Apprenticeship system may vary in England, many Briggs Marine Employees have successfully taken this path.
