The Role
The Able Seafarer (AB) on a Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transfer of personnel and light cargo to and from offshore installations, such as wind turbines. The AB supports the vessel’s navigation, deck operations, maintenance, and safety procedures under the direction of the vessel’s Master. |
Principal Responsibilities
- Carrying out all orders and instructions in a safe and efficient manner
- Assist in the safe transfer of crew and technicians to offshore platforms and wind turbines.
- Perform deck operations including mooring and anchoring.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the vessel’s deck and equipment.
- Assist with refuelling, loading, and unloading of cargo and supplies
- Stand navigational watches and assist with lookout duties as required
- Undertake training as required to comply with Company regulations and legislative requirements
