In August 2015, a new tidal gauge was installed in The Wash, Lincolnshire, to help the Environment Agency measure tides, predict flooding and assess the impact of climate change more accurately.

At approximately 01:50 on Wednesday 18th February 2015 the DFDS 120mt cargo vessel, Lysblink Seaways, ran aground near to Ardnamurchan Point at Kilchoan Bay on the West Coast of Scotland.

Briggs aim was to consolidate the operational requirements of 8, UK wide oil storage terminals, sea and pipe import – sea, road and pipe export and to provide single supplier resource for primary facility operational functions.

Briggs Marine was appointed to repair a failed 33kV power cable between Shapinsay and Stronsay. This forms part of SSEs distribution network around Orkney, which is essential for providing utilities to remote communities.
