Briggs Marine has recently joined forces with Fife-based Raeburn Training for provision of its training coordination services. The new arrangement will allow Briggs to maximise skill development to ensure employees are well equipped to achieve the operational excellence that Briggs is well known for.
The contract with Raeburn will enable Briggs to streamline its training programme as it benefits from Raeburn’s training expertise to coordinate courses, scope cost-effective solutions and provide monthly reporting. Raeburn Training provides Health & Safety and Employability training services but the collaboration with Briggs Marine will see Raeburn expand into the marine training area and will increase its service offering nationally.
Briggs Marine’s HR Operations Manager, Linda Dow, commented “We are excited to be working with Raeburn Training and confident that their solutions will complement what we have built up with existing providers to offer the opportunity to continue to invest in our staff and help them to upskill where possible”.
Sarah Raeburn, Director of Raeburn Training advised
“We’re keen to hit the ground running with Briggs Marine which is why we are commencing with a thorough gap analysis. Using our in-house skills, strengths in building robust systems, and large network of third-party providers, we will ensure Briggs Marine’s training requirements are fully met. We are looking forward to making an impact with our training solutions to demonstrate continuous improvement”.
Scott Ward, Briggs Marine’s Group HSEQ Manager said
“Whilst our priority is to invest in our employees’ abilities, the overarching aim of this training arrangement is for Briggs Marine to ensure compliance, quality and ultimately help to reinforce the company’s Health & Safety culture”
