Briggs Marine is proud to have supported The Cottage Family Centre in Kirkcaldy by nominating the charity for Enterprise Mobility’s client-nominated funding initiative, through which the Centre received a £2,500 donation.
Each year, Enterprise Mobility invites its clients to put forward charities that are meaningful to them. As long-standing supporters of The Cottage Family Centre, Briggs Marine nominated the charity in recognition of the vital work it delivers across Kirkcaldy and surrounding communities. The Centre was subsequently chosen by Enterprise Mobility to receive this year’s funding.
Enterprise Mobility’s Strategic Account Manager, Danielle Corrigan, was joined by Erica Skoukine, Marketing Manager at Briggs Marine, and Cottage Family Centre Assistant Manager, Kelly Rodgers, at the Centre for a cheque presentation to mark the occasion.
The Cottage Family Centre has been supporting children and families in the local community since 1987, providing a wide range of services designed to strengthen family life and improve wellbeing. Operating from its Kirkcaldy sites at Cawdor Crescent and St Clair Street, the charity delivers practical, emotional and therapeutic support tailored to the needs of each family.
The Centre works closely with families who may be facing challenging circumstances, helping them to access available benefits and essential support. Its services extend into the home, delivering one-to-one guidance to help build confidence and create stable foundations. In addition, the charity provides therapeutic support, including art and music therapy, offering creative and accessible ways for individuals to express themselves and process their experiences.
Unlike some restricted funding streams, this £2,500 donation provides The Cottage Family Centre with the flexibility to use the funds where they are needed most. This could include practical support such as purchasing essential household items for families in need, or helping provide meals for children during the school holiday period.
Kelly Rodgers, Assistant Manager at The Cottage Family Centre, said:
“We are incredibly grateful to Enterprise Mobility and Briggs Marine for this generous donation. Flexible funding like this makes a real difference, allowing us to respond quickly to the needs of the families we support – whether that’s helping provide essential household items or ensuring children have access to meals during the holidays.”
Danielle Corrigan, Strategic Account Manager at Enterprise Mobility, said:
“At Enterprise Mobility, we are committed to supporting the communities where we live and work. Our annual client-nominated initiative allows us to contribute to causes that matter most to our customers, and we are delighted to support The Cottage Family Centre this year. The vital services they provide to children and families across Kirkcaldy make a meaningful and lasting difference, and we are proud to play a part in supporting their work.”
Erica Skoukine, Marketing Manager at Briggs Marine added:
“The Cottage Family Centre is a truly deserving charity that provides invaluable support within our community. We are delighted to have nominated them for this funding opportunity and extend our sincere thanks to Enterprise Mobility for selecting them and making this donation possible.”
Cottage Family Centre relies on the generosity of individuals and businesses to continue delivering its essential services to some of the most vulnerable children and families in Kirkcaldy and the surrounding areas.
